This is a newer version of the 3C-PC-TP-CBL, and is 100% backward compatible. This newer version moves the link/act LED to the PCMCIA connector as to make it easier to see when the cable is hooked up to your network. Additionally the cable coming from the RJ45 connector into the PCMCIA connector has been reinforced as to prevent any cable damage.
